Congregations are not immune from the intense cultural and political polarization that reverberates throughout the United States. A contentious election season has revealed deeper fault lines of conflicting theological and religious beliefs, and differences in how we respond to a rapidly changing society. This season is rife with conflict, and pastors and church leaders find themselves attempting to navigate congregations through the polarization and division.
Dr. David Brubaker has been thinking about organizations and conflict throughout his career as a professor and church member. His recent book, When the Center Does Not Hold: Leadership in an Age of Polarization (Fortress Press, 2019) provides new insight into how conflict occurs and offers approaches to how leaders can manage conflict. David will provide practical steps for church leaders in this online seminar.
